Thank you to all those members and residents who attended the AGM to determine what are the important priorities for 2020.

We had a good crowd at the Bowls club, with great representation from new residents keen to participate, and long time contributors. It was great to meet so many neighbours, to share ideas with you all and to welcome you to Alphington.

Priorities for 2020

The key issues that were raised for APMAG to focus on were

  • The riverfront – we want better environmental protection, vegetation and weed management, and quality maintenance. We’re also keen to keep a focus on future ownership structures.
  • Parkview Road – keep a close watch on the condition of the asphalt, and the timeline for completion
  • Building heights along Chandler Highway – Strong objections were raised – especially to the current application from Glenvill
  • Communication from Glenvill to new and existing residents is low and we’re keen to hear more
  • Stormwater management across the site isn’t handling the change in vegetation, causing the riverbank collapse
  • Riverfront pathway and access is important to locals & needs to be maintained.

As the year draws to a close APMAG will take up and continue to lobby on these issues.  Look for further updates in future newsletters.

Thank you also to those who donated to our bucket on the night. We raised a enough to keep APMAG viable for another year
