The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and Alphington Primary School will be hosting an information evening next week to discuss the redevelopment of Alphington Primary on the current site.

They will introduce the Architects – Baumgart Clark – and we’ll all have the opportunity to ask questions and provide preliminary input.

Dear Neighbour,
As you may be aware, the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) will be upgrading Alphington Primary School.
With more families moving to the local area, and the school approaching capacity, this will help meet growing demand for student places.
Following community consultation, the Victorian Government decided not to progress the option of building a new senior campus at the Amcor Paper Mill redevelopment site. Instead, they have reallocated the $14.1 million previously earmarked for that option to upgrade Alphington Primary’s existing campus.
The upgrade will increase capacity at the school, while retaining open play space and providing students with a competition-grade gym.
We recently appointed Baumgart Clark Architects, who have already begun to survey the site. Before completing these initial investigations, the VSBA invites you to a drop-in session at Alphington Primary School to learn more about the project, ask questions and offer feedback.

Children of all ages are welcome to accompany parents/carers.
We welcome all your questions and concerns. We, and the school, will continue to update you throughout construction, but this is a last opportunity to tell us about your aspirations for the upgraded school before we complete design.
