The Boiler house demolition is underway and the old facade is coming down. Updates are a little thin on the ground officially, but the developer is reporting the demolition is going well and no issues have been discovered.

The glass and walls have been taken down, with the asbestos jointing between the glass panes being removed.

The developer reports thorough wash downs of internal areas to eliminate asbestos dust risk, and hygienist supervised processes. No cloaking, misting, or tenting has been in place, as was seen for example on the Fitzroy site along Alexandra Parade.

Yarra Council has not given an update on safety process compliance, but air monitoring has been done daily to Worksafe requirements and no alerts have been issued
