Roadworks updates = roads closed

Mills Boulevard – has about 3 months of work left for completion to Chandler Hwy. The connection to Heidelberg Road will remain closed until The Village is fully designed and Heidelberg Road changes are approved by VicRoads. Parkview Road should be finished sooner – we are advised that roadworks on the east side will be complete in about 6 weeks which will create a larger traffic pavement area while the west side is finished.  The northern end of Parkview Rd will then be closed completely to finish the Parkview Road works and access to Heidelberg Rd will be via Park Avenue and Yarralea St.

Pedestrian crossing on Heidelberg Rd

Pedestrian lights are desperately needed on Heidelburg Rd – as pedestrians, both locals and site workers, are increasingly taking their chances crossing the major road.   Lights have been installed near Fort Knox Storage, but their activation has been delayed. Once Powercor hook up the lights, the road will be  re-surfaced and painted.   Watch this space.

Slippery streets, sandblasted. Active ankle anger averted.

Yep. They’ve sandblasted the slippery pavers on the Yarrabend Development and in Parkview Rd. Stay safe, slick.
